The Wednesday Night Ratings - 17/9/2020
Hello and welcome back to (probably) the most comprehensive coverage of all the major US TV Wrestling ratings anywhere online! This was a return to normality for wrestling TV, with all four shows airing on their actual nights so yes, the Wednesday Night War is back! AEW were down from last week, but with NXT coming back to Wednesdays they always would be, but despite that they had a great night. They came 3rd for the night in P18-49 and #1 in M18-49, P18-34, and M12-34. These

The Wednesday Night Ratings 10/9/20
Hello and welcome back to a very exciting week for the wrestling ratings. Before we start if you'd like to look at last week's ratings you can do that here: https://www.prowrestlingmusings.com/post/the-wednesday-night-ratings-3-9-20. AEW had a big week, on their last uncontested Wednesday night of the year (as far as we know) they finally broke the 1 million barrier in P2+. This is the first time they've done this since their third episode and the 1,016,000 viewers is their t

The Weekly Ratings Leaderboard - 05/09/2020
Welcome back to the weekly roundup of all the ratings, in a few weeks this article will be changing format to work as more of cumulative weekly total series, but for now it's the same leaderboard we all know and love. You can find last week's article here: https://www.prowrestlingmusings.com/post/weekly-ratings-leaderboard-30-08-2020 if you want to make any quick comparisons. Overall this was a fairly expected week for ratings, despite the pre-emptions affecting AEW and NXT.

The Wednesday Night Ratings - 3/9/20
Welcome back to what was an up and down week for ratings that could have big ramification for weekly wrestling TV down the line. If you enjoy reading these then a share would be deeply appreciated. And as always you can find last weeks article here: https://www.prowrestlingmusings.com/post/the-wednesday-night-wars-28-08-2020 AEW had a pretty good week, it was their first uncontested Wednesday night and despite the competition from the NBA their ratings held up pretty well. Weekly Ratings Leaderboard - 30/08/2020
Hello and welcome back the to Weekly Ratings Leaderboard, to see last week's issue you can look here: https://www.prowrestlingmusings.com/post/the-wrestling-ratings-leaderboard-25-08-20 This was overall a good week for every show, THE THUNDERDOME is helping Raw and Smackdown to their best numbers in months, and both NXT and AEW held up well on their unopposed nights despite competition from the RNC and the Weather Channel. The main news for this week is just how well Raw did

The Wednesday (?) Night Wars 28/08/2020
Hello and welcome to a slightly rushed version of the Wednesday Night Ratings as I've left this slightly late and I just lost a whole draft because Wix hadn't saved it. AEW had a good week, nothing special but they were out of their timeslot and against competition from the RNC yet were 7.7% up in average viewers (755k to 813k) and 6.5% down in P18-49 (0.32 to 0.29). The others demos were flat or slightly down but there's nothing too concerning leading into their uncontested

The Wrestling Ratings Leaderboard 25/08/2020
Hello and welcome back to the (delayed) wrestling ratings leaderboard. This was the first of the pre-emptions so I delayed the article to make sure the whole week was counted. We also have AEW's ratings so here's a quick write-up of how they did. I think AEW's ratings of a 0.31 in P18-49 and 755,000 total viewers has to be a success. They only dropped slightly in both of those values (0.32 to 0.31 and 792,000 to 755,000) despite having to move to an entirely different and muc

Wednesday Night Ratings - 20/08/2020
So, this one is a weird week. With no AEW on Wednesday we lose a lot of the talking points but have no fear, the Wednesday Night Ratings is here anyway! There will be a short AEW summary posted in the Weekly Leaderboards which will be postponed a day to keep up to date. So that's the schedule, expect much the same every time AEW or NXT moves over the coming weeks. NXT ran unopposed for the first time since their second week and had what I'd describe as a disappointing week. 8

Hi, welcome to a shorter version of the main Thursday ratings article. This is basically going to act as a quick summary for how all the shows compared in the last week. There's not going to be any major week-to-week ratings analysis, this is just to get a feel for how all the shows are comparing Just to quickly explain, these are all the Showbuzz reported numbers for the last week, and the numbers are colour-coded to which show they came from. Raw is Red, Dynamite is Green,

Wednesday Night Ratings - 05/08/2020
Hello and welcome to what will be a very truncated review of all the ratings from the last week of US TV Wrestling because it's nearly 3am here and I could really do with some sleep. WWE Smackdown saw a 4% drop in total viewers to a 1.892 million but stuck right around the same level they've been at since the pandemic hit. They also got a 0.5 in P18-49 again, which is right on track with the rest of their shows over the last few months. WWE Raw increased 6% in total viewers t

Wednesday Night Ratings - 30/07/2020
Here we go again with the weekly look at all of the ratings from the major 4 US Wrestling shows. As usual all numbers are from Showbuzz Daily but the graphs and analysis are all my own. AEW dropped slightly in both total viewers and the P18-49 demo this week. With a 9% drop in total viewers (845k to 787k) and a 6% drop in the demo (0.32 to 0.3). I think these are still encouraging numbers for what was generally regarded as a poor show, and probably also shows the gradual wear

Hello and welcome to a new feature here at Pro Wrestling Musings where we'll be keeping track of all of the TV viewers of the 4 major weekly US TV wrestling shows (Raw, NXT, Dynamite, Smackdown). I'll be taking all of the numbers directly from Showbuzz Daily, and doing my best to keep everything updated whenever they issue corrections or changes. So here we go, on with the numbers. This was a big week for AEW. Their P18-49 (All adults from 18-49) demo rating had been consiste
