The next Week is perfect for fans of Japanese Wrestling, they will certainly get their money's worth. Elsewhere we have another Blood Money attraction and PWG holding an event, which will come out when the next 2 UK prime ministers will have already resigned.
Recommendation of the Week: Will Ospreay vs Tetsuya Naito
After defeating Zack Sabre Jr. at Royal Quest II, Tetsuya Naito will now challenge Will Ospreay for the IWGP US Title. Ospreay has been rumored to fight Kenny Omega or perhaps even Katsuyori Shibata at Wrestle Kingdom. However it might not be certain that the US Title is involved in one of those bouts. One thing is certain though: This will be a banger.
WWE
As always we have the usual weeklies, but it's one of the 2 times of the year where WWE goes to Saudi Arabia. The biggest attraction this time around is the bout between Roman Reigns and Logan Paul.
Many people are disappointed in that matchup, but I feel that this is honestly the best option that we had. Nothing particularly harmful, but probably a somewhat nice match, and can immediately forget any of this happened.
Other matches include the longawaited clash between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar, as well as the Brawling Brutes challenging the Usos for the tag titles.
AEW
The All Atlantic Title will certainly be represented well this coming week with Orange Cassidy trying to defend his title against Luchasaurus and Rey Fenix on Dynamite. The winner of that match will choose any opponent for a title match on Rampage. Please give me Orange vs Takeshita or Orange vs Minoru Suzuki.
Jon Moxley will be in action against Lee Moriarty on Dynamite, as well as Chris Jericho battling a former ROH Champion. Rumored names include Homicide, PCO, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards, Low Ki, and quite a few others.
NJPW
We already mentioned the most important match earlier, but there's another match with quite a buildup on the card. Karl Anderson, the NEVER Openweight Champion recently showed up on WWE Television, and is scheduled for the Crown Jewel Event on the same day as the Battle Autumn Event, where he's scheduled to defend his Title against Hikuleo. A change to the card has not yet been announced.
More interesting matches include the 2 Semi Finals in the TV Title tournament and Aussie Open facing unannounced opponents.
DDT
This week was all about New Japan, but next week DDT is running wild!
SIX(!) shows under the DDT banner will take place.
- FOUR Shows to start the D-Oh Grand Prix - the DDT equivalent to the G1 climax - a round robin tournament, with the top wrestlers of each of the 2 blocks facing each other in the final.
The biggest match in my opinion on those shows is Tetsuya Endo vs Yuki Ueno. 2 of the best wrestlers in DDT, fighting to start off the tournament hot!
Other great matches include Chris Brooks vs MAO, Tetsuya Endo vs Daisuke Sasaki and an actual Blindfold Tag Deathmatch
- Street wrestling Event with a fatal 4-way match between Harashima, Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata and Nabuyakan
- An Event under the Ganbare Pro Wrestling banner, that consistently puts out great wrestling. The main event is Hartley Jackson defending his Spirit of Ganbare World Championship
Dragon Gate
Dragon Gate is holding their annual Gate of Destiny Show with Yuki Yoshioka defending the Open the Dream Gate championship against YAMATO. and Dragon Kid hunting the Open the Brave Gate Champion H.Y.O.
Stardom
The Tag League continues in Stardom with 2 more Events with League matches. Additionally there's a PPV where the PWI Number 1 Syuri defends her World of Stardom Champion against Maika. After great performances in the 5 Star Grand Prix Mina Shirakawa gets her chance to take the Wonder of Stardom Championship from Saya Kamitani. Natsuko Tora returned from her injury at the Final 5 Star Event, attacked Utami Hayashishita, and challenged her to a match, which Utami accepted.
Indies
To finish off we have PWG naming their next show in tribute of a fan of theirs who recently passed away "PWG Dink". In the main event AEW Star Daniel Garcia defends his PWG World Championship against Jonathan Gresham. Black Taurus, Laredo Kid, Latigo, Aramis, Bandido and Komander are going to take the roof off the place with a crazy Trios match. And to further the PWG journey into womens wrestling, Masha Slamovich faces Jordynne Grace.
You can see all the info about the shows above. I decided to highlight the matches you should definitely check out during the week in red.
All Japanese Wrestling next week, let me know what you're looking forward to next week!
Enjoy it!
