Traditionally, these coming weeks are going to be dominated by the japanese promotions, that have their shows as we come into the new year. We have some stellar shows ahead!
Recommendation of the Week: Shingo Takagi vs Taichi
My personal Match of the Year is the insane hardcore match between El Desperado and Jun Kasai. They went absolutely crazy and battered their heads in. That match was the main event of the last TakaTaichi produced Event, so you might get why I'm excited for this one.
WWE
The feud between The Miz and Dexter Lumis has been going on for a while, thus they're facing each other in a Ladder Match on Raw. After winning the tag team titles, the New Day will defend them on this weeks NXT.
AEW
AEW has a bit more to offer this week with Hikaru Shida challenging Jamie Hayter for the AEW Womens Championship. As always the Best of Seven Series between the Elite and Death Triangle continues with Game 5 being a No DQ Match. To top it off, after attacking FTR, The Gunns face off with them on Dynamite.
Dragongate
Recently Shingo Takagi returned to Dragongate, but instead of facing his longtime rival BxB Hulk, he chose to team up with him. They will face YAMATO and the rookie Madoka Kikuta. Kota Minoura faces Ben-K for the Open the Dream Gate Championship.
TakaTaichi 50th Anniversary
The final TakaTaichi Show has a lot of nice matches to look forward to. We already mentioned Shingo Takagi facing off against Taichi, another great match is Hiromu Takahashi vs the legend Taka Michinoku. Additionally Suzu Suzuki battles Tomoka Inaba and Jun Kasai teams up with Tomoaki Honma to take on Minoru Suzuki and DOUKI.
AJPW
A promotion I haven't really mentioned before has 2 big shows this week including NJPW talent as well. The biggest match on those cards is definitely Jake Lee, Yuma Aoyagi, Sanada and Bushi teaming up against Kento Miyahara, Atsuki Aoyagi, Taichi and Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
Freedoms
This is one I am especially excited for. Jun Kasai and Drew Parker will hopefully go absolutely crazy for the King of Freedoms World Title. GCW talent Alex Colon and Rina Yamashita take on Toru Sugiiura and Tomoya Hirata.
NJPW
On the road to the Tokyo Dome, it was made public that Suzuki-gun will disband at the end of the year. They will have a farewell match against each other on the second tour show this week.
TJPW
The last TJPW show for this year offers a huge 8 women tag match between the team of Yuka Sakazaki, Shoko Nakajima, Mizuki and Suzume and the team of Maki Itoh, Miyu Yamashita, Moka Miyamoto and the GOAT Hyper Misao.
Stardom
We have 2 5 on 5 tag team matches on the second to last show from Stardom this year. Oedo Tai will take on Prominence and to build up to Dream Queendom Giulia's Donna del Mondo faction faces Syuri's God's Eye faction.
Overview
As you can see, Japan absolutely dominates this week. And I can promise you this will continue for the next 2 weeks as the american companies are enjoying their holidays. Enjoy!
