Lariate’s TV Ratings | March 13th to March 19th

WrestleMania is fast approaching and college sports are making their presence known this week.

RAW Ratings (13th March) :

  • Ratings : 1 705 000 (-6,68 %) & 0.53 sur les 18-49 [+0.01]

  • Ratings per hour :

    • H1 : [P2+ : 1 779 000] [18-49 : 0.52] [Cable Pos : 3]

    • H2 : [P2+ : 1 760 000] [18-49 : 0.52] [Cable Pos : 2]

    • H3 : [P2+ : 1 575 000] [18-49 : 0.50] [Cable Pos : 4]

RAW is holding up well in its demographics even though the overall audience is suffering some losses in recent weeks. Nothing to worry about though we can expect better on the P2+ audience. This month of March and this road to Wrestlemania is doing slightly better than the previous year.

However, it should be noted that this week RAW lost its leadership position to an NBA game broadcast on ESPN which recorded an audience of 1,882,000 with a demographic of 0.59 in the 18-49 demographic.

Ratings NXT (14th march) :

  • Ratings : 590 000 (-5,45 %) & 0.17 sur les 18-49 [-0.02]

  • Cable Pos : 19th.

NXT relapses in all categories after a good week last week. A noticeable drop as Stand and Deliver approaches but like RAW NXT is off to a better start than last year.

However, the competition was a bit fiercer this week with College Basketball scouring the cable podium with solid numbers like a 1,736,000 & 0.59 in 18-49, the game being broadcast on TruTV.

Ratings AEW Dynamite (15th March) :

  • Ratings : 857 000 (-0,70 %) & 0.27 sur les 18-49 [-0.02]

  • Cable Pos : 11th.

Dynamite was able to stabilize in the face of a big sports backdrop that dropped the show to 11th place on cable far from its usual 3rd place. The various sports broadcasts such as NBA (1,729,000 & 0.52), Baseball (949,000 & 0.34) or college basketball (1,375,000 & 0.39).

Nevertheless, the show seems to be struggling a bit more with the overall TV audience decline with losses in viewership but also in the 18-49 demographic. Although this week they managed to hold their own despite the competition in front.

Ratings Smackdown (17th March) :

  • Ratings : 2 258 000 (-2,67 %) & 0.59 sur les 18-49 [-0.04]

Smackdown was not the leader on TV this week. Indeed, a strong, very strong sports competition this Friday also dominated the whole TV with notably college basketball on TNT and TBS (the two channels of the Warner Bros Discovery group). Taking this into account as well as the road to Wrestlemania, this slight drop in audience can be explained quite easily.

Ratings AEW Rampage (17th March) :

  • Ratings : 474 000 (+6,04 %) & 0.18 sur les 18-49 [+0.03]

  • Cable Pos : 26th.

Despite the fact that Rampage aired at midnight instead of its usual 10:00PM slot, this episode scored very well especially in the 18-49 demographic. Be careful though, this is due to the fact that a very important college basketball game was aired just before on TNT. Rampage was therefore able to take advantage of a big audience beforehand (a bit like Big Bang Theory which precedes Dynamite). These figures can be explained like that, but they are still satisfactory results, although helped by a good lead-in.
