AEW Factions Power Rankings: Post WrestleDream

Nothing seismic this month but we did have some movers and shakers in the faction rankings after WrestleDream.

Out of the Rankings

The Acclaimed- Billy Gunn hasn't wrestled for AEW since May. This is a tag team, not a faction anymore.

Groups to watch

Deonna Purrazzo's Gallery- She made her intentions clear, she's building a group. She has Taya Valkyrie, who else joins?

Hurt Syndicate- I was disappointment that Lashley didn't show up at WrestleDream but his arrival is imminent. They'll need more active members and some AEW matches on their record to be ranked, but that can happen quickly.

Monet Industries- Mercedes Monet has teased alignment with both The Elite and Hurt Syndicate but nothing official. Like the Syndicate, Monet's going to need more matches and members.

The Rankings

Inspired by the trade between Jake Roberts and Don Callis, after every faction I'm going to fantasy book potential additions/subtractions to each group.

#17 Iron Savages (Down 1 spot)- With less than three months on the year, do the Iron Savages get a win?

Strength: 0.0%

Fantasy Trade: Jacked Jameson for JD Vance

#16 Premier Athletes (Down 2 spots)- Filling the roll of annoying heels very well. Plucky babyface team needs a win? Put them against the Premier Athletes.

Strength: 5.9%

Fantasy Trade: Josh Woods for Tommy Billington

#15 Dark Order (Down 2 spots)- Yeah, time might be to disband and try something new, feel like I've been saying that for a year now.

Strength: 10.7%

Fantasy Trade: Evil Uno for Dalton Castle

#14 Outrunners (Up 1 spot)- I hope we see more from Erica Leigh, otherwise the Outrunners are off the list despite their popularity and T-shirt sales.

Strength: 16.2%

Fantasy Trade: Erica Leigh for Serpentico

#13 Triple J (Down 1 spot)- Not much happening lately. Can't even remember the last time Jay Lethal had a match. They'll be dropped from the rankings next month if they're not featured more. Jarrett is filling his role as wise veteran very well.

Strength: 19.2%

Fantasy Trade: Satnam Singh for Stokely Hathaway

#12 Top Flight (Down 1 spot)- Action Andretti showing some fire and being tired of losing is a nice development.

Strength: 25.3%

Fantasy Trade: Action Andretti for Kommander

#11 LFI (Returning)- They're back baby! Now with Jake Roberts as a manager!

Strength: 42.4%

Fantasy Trade: They just reformed, I can't think about making changes now!

#10 Cage of Agony (No Change)- One of the surprises from WrestleDream was Brian Cage winning the ROH TV Title. He looked really strong (duh) and I'm looking forward to his singles championship run. Wish more was being done with Kaun and Liona though. Guess I'll have to watch ROH if I want to find out.

Strength: 37.3%

Championship: ROH TV Title (Brian Cage)

Fantasy Trade: Bishop Kaun for The Butcher

#9 Undisputed Kingdom (Down 1 Spot)- It's unclear if Adam Cole is still involved or not, he doesn't have any matches this year so it doesn't really make a difference at this time. Taven/Bennett hinted at a pivot for the group and they seem interested in poaching Beast Mortos from LFI so things are in flux at the moment.

Strength: 46.9%

Fantasy Trade: Adam Cole for Samoa Joe

#8 The Learning Tree (Down 1 spot)- I saw it with my own eyes, the Learning Tree does have fans. I saw a row of them at WrestleDream and they were having a good time with the act.

Strength: 50.0%

Fantasy Trade: Chris Jericho for Dustin Rhodes

#7 The Patriarchy (Down 1 spot)-Get well soon Killswitch! Now that we have Moxley as World Champion we'll see if this changes Christian's plans for his title shot.

Strength: 53.3%

Fantasy Trade: Nick Wayne for Sammy Gueverra (Mama Wayne stays with Christian though)

#6 House of Black (Down 2 spots)- Another faction in transition as Brody King looks like a potential breakout solo act, or even a face tag partner with Darby Allin. Julia Hart should be back soon and I'm interested to see what that brings.

Strength: 65.2%

Fantasy Trade: Buddy Matthews for Anthony Henry (Matthews should have gotten a tattoo)

#5 Callis Family (Up 2 Spots)- Strength dropped 5% by adding Lance Archer and his 3-10 record, but he's already picking up wins since joining. The big gains come from Takeshita winning singles gold, and Fletcher aligning himself with the dark side. Things haven't looked this good for the Callis Family in some time.

Strength: 50.6%

Championship: AEW International (Takeshita)

Fantasy Trade: Trent Barretta for AR Fox (Don Callis is the kind of manager to trade someone while they're injured)

#4 Bang Bang Gang (Down 1 Spot)- Jay White is now a face with momentum and this will only benefit the BBG as a whole.

Strength: 72.6%

Fantasy Trade: N/A They're perfect already.

#3 Conglomeration (Down 1 Spot)- Added Willow as she drives the van according to Kyle O'Reilly). The group to watch for the next month as at any given time the have at least one member either holding a title or competing for one.

Strength: 63.4%

Championships: ROH World (Mark Briscoe)

Fantasy Trade: Kyle O'Reilly for Eddie Kingston

#2 The Elite (Down 1 Spot)- People were pissed about Danielson loosing, but I was more upset about the Young Bucks winning. What's the point of talking down to Private Party, calling them mid-carders for life, if you're going to beat them and prove it? Doesn't help Isiah and Marq Quen any. Jack Perry's reign as TNT Champion clearly has an expiration date that's coming soon. Okada's sitting pretty though, still don't think he looses the title until end of the year.

Strength: 67.4%

Championships: Tag Team (Young Bucks), TNT (Jack Perry), Continental (Okada)

Fantasy Trade: Jack Perry for Mercedes Mone

#1 Blackpool Combat Club (Up 2 Spots)- The new power faction in AEW. They've got championships, they're physically dominant, and any babyface looks strongs simply by standing up to them. Yuta sealed his fate by aligning himself firmly with the group (even if he's conflicted about it).

Strength: 74.3%

Championships: AEW World (Jon Moxley), AEW Trios (PAC, Claudio, Yuta)

Fantasy Trade: Wheeler Yuta for Josh Woods (Yuta's not happy anyway)

I cleaned up the chart by removing teams that were only featured a couple of months (ie Death Triangle, Shane Taylor Productions). Blackpool Combat Club is back on top after their "restructuring". Outrunners had a nice gain of over 10 points.
