The following is a display of the top submission users in AEW as of 03/08/20. The numbers are compiled from all 1v1 Male Singles matches with traditional rules in 2020. Submission seconds per hour rates are used as Submission seconds per match would be affected by differing match times.
However per hour rates are affected by match length too as shorter matches tend towards higher rates of submission use as there is less of a need to sell the affects of the damage taken in the match. Wrestlers sell more in longer matches.
Therefore there are 2 Top 5s. One of these included all wrestlers, the other excludes wrestlers who have less than 30 minutes total ring time.
Submissions are measured by cumulative amount of seconds due to differing length of submissions.
