In the run up to Christmas AEW served up a terrifically apt episode from the Greensburg Coliseum. This episode was headlined by Sting returning to the historic venue which he wrestled Ric Flair in in 1988. We also saw the debut of Kyle O'Reilly and a fiery Danielson/Page promo.
Orange Cassidy vs Adam Cole
Reversals galore as Adam Cole tried desperately to ground the slippery Orange Cassidy. Cassidy responded in kind with a healthy dose of high-impact Grapples. Strikedown and Reversal Rates were high for both men.
Ruby Soho vs Nyla Rose
Nyla Rose rarely wins the quantity of offence battle but you can see that she makes her offence count; lots of Grapples and out-doing Soho for Strikedowns and Dives. Soho had to rely of Reversals and a plethora of simple Strikes.
Griff Garrison vs Malakai Black
Malakai Black put in a Striking masterclass as he dispatched Garrison with ease.
CM Punk, Sting and Darby Allin vs MJFTR
In a Trios battle that lasted almost a half hour; Punk, Darby and Sting took MJF and FTR apart. The bombastic offence of the babyfaces almost doubled that of their opponents, they took every opportunity they could to hit Strikedowns, Grapples and Dives. Whereas the manipulative heels utilised Submission, Fouls and frequent Tags.
