Wrestler of the Year Candidate 5

Chris Jericho

What a year for the 49 year old, current and first AEW World champion! Chris Jericho is a man reborn, yet again, in AEW. He has taken the top spot in the company, become a kingpin-esque villain and has elevated those around him.

His matches are good even at his advanced age. The match against Cody was an incredibly compelling and tense affair. Jericho's promo work and character have few peers in the current wrestling landscape and this is one of AEW's most precious commodities.

Jericho has had one of the best years of his career if not the best year of his career at, again, 49 years of age!
