Weekly Update and Progress Check

A new addition to the Top 10 has emerged in the form of one half of the AAA World Tag Team Champions, FTR. Wheeler is a few Metrics ahead of his tag team partner, Dax Harwood (ranked 11th Overall), who has a slightly lower Fall Differential(+11 compared to +10) as well as lost two Singles matches this year (to Jericho and Jungle Boy). Otherwise, gains continue to made in various forms across the board as we are now two weeks away from Full Gear. Nearly all of these wrestlers will be featured in matchups on that card.

Cargill continues her ascent in the all-time Metrics leaderboard, all the more impressive when you realize her first match took place in March 2021. Being undefeated only helps, of course, but “That Bitch” (her words, hence the quotes) is beginning to accrue additional Quality Points for her victories over opponents with winning records. She will almost certainly progress to at least to the Semi Final of the TBS Championship Tournament.

A bit of everything here: - On paper Cassidy seems to be on the rise but don’t expect Jon Moxley to go easily on him in their World Championship Eliminator Tournament, this week. This is an extension of what took place with Preston Vance, who had a 12-match undefeated Streak upended a few days ago. - Fulfilling a Twitter request, here are Sting’s numbers. Note that all of his victories with Darby Allin en route to his perfect 4-0 have come against Tag Teams with winning records. This means that Sting’s Quality Points account for more than half of his Combined Metrics.

- With Cole and Silver, it struck me that two men facing one another next week on Rampage have practically identical totals but took incredibly different paths to get here. The Elite member’s Metrics Per Match (MPM) is still more than double Johnny Hungee’s even after the latter scored the winning Pin in the Main Event this past week on Dynamite.

Abadon’s loss in the Trick or Treat Match against Dr. Britt Baker, DMD on Rampage sent her down a few points but it was notable as it was her first match outside the Mid card. The other four women listed here represent the remaining two First Round matchups in the TBS Championship Tournament. Each could go either way but looking at the Quarter Final opponent may be instructive. Look for Hayter to go over Jay on her way to Thunder Rosa while Velvet should get the win over The Bunny to set up a re-match with Cargill.
