A fairly quiet week as there is no discernible change in the Top 10 but the AAA World Tag Team Champions continue to post impressive Metrics with both Wheeler and Dax Harwood (ranked 11th Overall) making strong strides. Interestingly, the comparatively idle Chris Jericho continues his slow descent down the table.
The log jam and the flip flopping in the middle of the Top 10 of the all-time Metrics continue as #1 in the Official Rankings Tay Conti is being heated up ahead of her PPV showdown with Women’s World Champion Britt Baker. Following this, the trends suggest Riho might be next in line as the augural title holder is slowly building up steam now she is back in the United States.
As a replacement for Jon Moxley, Miro’s previously unforeseen entry into the World Championship Eliminator Tournament needed to be charted this week. His MPM ranks second on the calendar year to Omega so don’t be shocked if he goes over Danielson next weekend. Andrade’s victory over Cody definitely movedhim in the right direction but he needs to start racking up some additional wins in order to accrue more substantial Quality Points going forward. The TBS Championship Tournament once again looms over this grouping with Velvet making the biggest singular stride but she will be in tough against Cargill in the Quarter Final. Similarly, despite her recent victory, expect Hayter’s momentum to be halted as she is facing an uphill battle against Thunder Rosa.
--- A final note: This past week I put out the completely unadvertised third iteration of #AEWTrivia on Twitter. The response was actually a little overwhelming but overall enjoyable so thank you to those who participated. As I noted, I hope to do another prior to the PPV in the days ahead. Anyone with questions or comments is encouraged to respond here or on Twitter @AEWmetrics.
