WWE gets its head above water as the Royal Rumble approaches and the NFL season ends. AEW passes the symbolic million mark again for the Jay Briscoe tribute show.
RAW Ratings (23th January) :
Ratings : 2 344 000 (+57,42 %) & 0.70 sur les 18-49 [+0.28]
Ratings per hour :
H1 : [P2+ : 2 635 000] [18-49 : 0.80] [Cable Pos : 1]
H2 : [P2+ : 2 373 000] [18-49 : 0.69] [Cable Pos : 2]
H3 : [P2+ : 2 024 000] [18-49 : 0.60] [Cable Pos : 3]
A very big score this week for the episode of RAW which can be explained for different reasons quite easily. First of all, it was the 30th anniversary episode of RAW called "RAW XXX". Add to that the fact that it was the last red show with the Royal Rumble PLE but more importantly, this week marks the end of the NFL going head to head with the show and thus, regaining the top 3 spots on cable.
Now that the NFL is coming to an end, we'll be able to see how much this will benefit future episodes of RAW, and how much they'll be able to stabilize.
Ratings NXT (24th January) :
Ratings : 607 000 (+1,17 %) & 0.12 sur les 18-49 [-0.02]
Cable Pos : 28th.
Even if the general audience climbs slightly, the 18-49 demographic, on the other hand, decreases this week, as it has throughout the month. This concludes a January that may leave some regrets given the first week. Even if the figures show that they are doing slightly better than last year on the same period.
Regular competition this Tuesday with NBA on TNT (1 046 000 & 0.33) and Night Court on NBC (5 174 000 & 0.74)
Ratings AEW Dynamite (25th January) :
Ratings : 1 003 000 (3,51 %) & 0.32 sur les 18-49 [+0.01]
Cable Pos : 3th.
AEW Dynamite passed the symbolic million viewer mark again for the Jay Briscoe tribute episode where we saw Mark Briscoe take on Jay Lethal in the Main Event. It's also interesting to look at the demographics in a little more detail at the end of January. AEW Dynamite is managing to draw more on the female demographic which was less the case before. A change that is quite interesting to note and welcome.
Again, usual competition for this Wednesday with the two NBA games finishing in the top two cable spots with a 1,461,000 & 0.53 for the game that was head-to-head with Dynamite on ESPN.
Ratings Smackdown (27th January) :
Ratings : 2 544 000 (+12,72 %) & 0.67 sur les 18-49 [+0.12]
Smackdown gave itself a nice gain in audience for the last episode before the Royal Rumble. A PLE that is globally quite expected by the fans but such an increase was not especially anticipated, it is a very nice score for Smackdown especially on the 18-49 demographic. The Royal Rumble and the storyline between Reigns and Zayn seem to have attracted a good part of the audience. A very nice way to close the month of January for the blue show.
There too, a usual competition with the other flagship show of TV in the US on Friday: Shark Tank on ABC which recorded a score of 4 223 000 & 0.59 in the 18-49 demographic.
Ratings AEW Rampage (27th January) :
Ratings : 458 000 (-1,29 %) & 0.14 sur les 18-49 [+0.01]
Cable Pos : 22th.
A slight upturn in demographics for this episode of Rampage, which records its best month on the 18-49 demographic since October 2022. And, like Dynamite, Rampage scores well on the female demographic. There are some good things to take from this month of January for Rampage. We can also note the best average audience for the whole month of January since April 2022. Some factors are in the green at the beginning of the year, so let's take advantage of it.
